Hello! I’m Krista Kleban.

I’m the owner, artist and designer behind Finding Flowers Studio.

I started Finding Flowers Studio so I could share my love for color, flowers, and vintage style with you! The name encompasses the idea of creating something from nothing, starting with a blank piece of paper and finding the flowers as I paint. It’s also about seeing the good in every circumstance, no matter how challenging. And finally, it speaks to my search for amazing vintage pieces, often floral-themed or colorful.

Flowers are an instant mood booster!

Which blooms will you choose to brighten your day?

  • Provide high quality products and services. Use artist-grade materials only. Source from trusted manufacturers. Make buying art a worry-free and simple experience.

  • Show up as my genuine self every single day. Strive for realism, not social media perfectionism. Don’t compare myself to others. Make art that looks like me instead of chasing the trends.

  • Foster community. Give a portion of total sales to local non-profit organizations. Participate in events to get to know community members. Collaborate with and promote other creatives.

“Color is part of my identity and at the core of everything I create. It’s one of the most exciting and powerful tools I use in my painting, whether it’s a little pop of color or a vibrant palette that’s totally unexpected.”

Vintage finds

Vintage has been a part of my story for as long as I can remember.

It all began with my parents and grandparents owning the Caravan import shops in Indianapolis in the 60s and 70s. The stores were overflowing with handcrafted items from all over the world, which my grandfather sourced by writing letters to the many international contacts he made while he was a U.S. government employee.

When the shops closed in the late 70s, the jewelry, art and decor moved into our house. As a child, one of my favorite activities was unlocking the curio cabinet filled with vintage treasures and carefully inspecting what was inside. My mother told me everything she could about each piece - where it came from, how it was made, why it was special.

There is no doubt in my mind that being exposed to these items grew my love for vintage design significantly, and likely steered me towards my initial career in jewelry design. It’s also why I enjoy the thrill of the hunt for vintage jewelry, clothing, and housewares today.

I’m excited to share my curated collection of jewelry, accessories and home decor items with you, inspired by the pieces I grew up with and gathered over the years! Expect handmade styles, designs you won’t see often, and pieces that feel like they have an incredible story to tell.
